“Less Than 10” Committee
The “Less Than 10” Committee was created in 2007 and is designed to be an active voice for teaching members with less than 10 years experience with the OCDSB. The principal objectives of the Committee are:
~To ensure that the Federation understands the issues/priorities facing less experienced teachers.
~To assist the Federation in meeting the needs of this group.
~To ensure that the Federation is accessible to teachers with less than 10 years experience.
The “Less Than 10” Committee is chaired by the TBU Executive Officer and consists of a representative from each school/site in the OCDSB. The Committee meets approximately 4-6 times per school year depending on the needs of the Committee.
The “Less Than 10” Committee is very interested in hearing from any teacher who wants to learn more about OSSTF and how the Federation can make their professional lives more rewarding. Teacher Mentors and New Teacher Branch Representatives are also encouraged to join.
